At an altitude of about 900 meters, 22 km away from Arachova driving on the north western slopes of Parnassos, through the forest of fir trees, amphitheatrically built atop seven hills lies the village of Agoriani. It is favorite alternative for those who prefer a more authentic and calm communion with nature.
The landmark of the village are its springs, which flow through the village, forming small waterfalls. The most well known and easily accessible is the one located 100 meters above the main square, slightly before the entrance to the village you can reach one of the tallest in the country exceeding 60 meters of height. It is also believed that their waters aid digestion. Some of the most beautiful hiking routes, either begin or pass through Agoriani, including of course the European ‘’E4’’ trail that leads to Delphi.
The village square with its immence plane trees, constitutes the heart of the village, with tavernas and an old bakery, where you can try some flavoursome pies and sweets from the native trees (chestnut, cherry, apples).
